I am writing to inform you of the proposed industrial action taking place on Wednesday 14th and Wednesday 21stOctober 2026, as part of a nationwide public sector dispute.
As part of the current national industrial action, Cheeverstown has been notified of a withdrawal of labour, which will impact our New Directions services on both dates.
Therefore, New Directions day service locations will be closed both days.
We fully recognise that the closure of day services may cause significant disruption and inconvenience for people we support and their families. We sincerely apologise for the difficulties this may cause and greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time.
Day services will reopen as normal on Thursday 15th October 2026 and Thursday 22nd October.
Should there be any change to the planned industrial action or these arrangements, we will contact families as soon as possible.
