Patricia Hallahan

Eddie Kelly

Elaine Doran
"It means getting to know people on the advocacy group."
Joe Feehily
"Advocacy means standing up for your rights and to be able to express your views without any problem what so ever. I was a founder of the self advocacy group and there’s great people in the committee that also has their views. We also did the voices project which prove our voices are there for everybody to know our opinions with everything got to do with advocacy. There’s always an advocate in self advocacy."
Deirdre Troy
"Means like anything you have to say speak it up and speak it out"
Rohan Slevin
"It means helping my guys out. I agree with my lads it’s about speaking up for everyone."
Emily Healy
John O Reilly
"I like going to meetings and I think that (advocacy) is very important to everybody in the group. We could have a meeting with President Higgins and talk about the government, the very important work and the issues and the parties in Leinster House. It’s important to talk about money and wages and bills."
John Mc Dermott
"Help people if they don’t have a voice, help them speak up for themselves. It means I can go around and help people if they don’t have a voice, I can go around helping them."

Voices during COVID
We are the Cheeverstown Self-Advocacy Group. We want to speak up for ourselves and for the voices of people with disabilities to be heard. We are worried about being left behind. When Ireland opens back up- please make sure it opens back up for us as well
